What we do
QuickKit Tools is a collection of free online tools for everyday tasks: shrinking a photo before you email it, turning a link into a QR code, checking the length of an essay, or working out a discount. Each tool does one job and explains how to use it.
Our tools today:
- Image Compressor: Shrink JPG, PNG and WebP images and see exactly how much space you saved.
- Image Converter: Convert images between JPG, PNG and WebP, with a preview before you download.
- QR Code Generator: Turn a link or any text into a QR code and download it as a PNG image.
- Word Counter: Count words, characters, sentences and paragraphs as you type, plus reading time.
- Percentage Calculator: Work out a percentage of a number, percentage increase or decrease, and percentage difference.
- Age Calculator: Find an exact age in years, months and days from a date of birth.
- Unit Converter: Convert length, weight, temperature and volume units instantly.
- PDF Tools: Merge PDF files or pull out selected pages, right in your browser.
How the tools work
Every tool runs inside your web browser. When you compress an image or merge PDF files, your own device does the work, and your files are not uploaded to a server. That means there's no waiting for uploads, and your files stay private. The trade-off is that very large files are limited by your device's memory, which is why each tool lists its limits.
What we care about
- Honest results. We show real numbers. If compressing an image doesn't make it smaller, the tool says so rather than hiding it.
- No sign-up. You can use every tool without an account.
- No tricks. No fake download buttons, no pop-ups, and nothing that pretends to be something it isn't.
- Plain explanations. Each tool explains what it does, its limits, and how to get the best result.
Who runs QuickKit Tools
QuickKit Tools is an independent project based in the United States. It isn't affiliated with, or endorsed by, any of the companies or products mentioned on the site.
How the site is funded
The tools are free to use. To cover hosting and development costs, we may show advertising in the future. If we do, ads will be clearly labelled and kept separate from the tools, and we will update our Privacy Policy before they appear.
Accuracy
We test our tools carefully, but mistakes are possible. For anything important, such as legal, medical, financial or engineering decisions, please double-check results with an official source. See our Terms of Service for details.
